Rarity | Base Stats | Price | Unlock |
---|---|---|---|
Silver | 420/460 | 49,000 | Available in Store, Starter Pack, Silver Booster Pack, Wonder Woman 75th Anniversary Booster Pack, Black Friday Pack 1 |
Olympian Strength: Each time Wonder Woman blocks a Special or Basic attack, she gains a 50% bonus to the DAMAGE of her next Special Attack. (max of 3 times) |
Strategy[]
Basic Attacks[]
Basic combo | Damage pattern (% of damage stat) | Total (including Combo Ender) |
---|---|---|
Light (Combo Ender) | 2% - 2% - 2% - (3%) | 9% |
Heavy | 4% - 4% - 4% | 12% |
Passive[]
Wonder Woman Prime is one of the deadliest Silver cards out there due to her passive. A simple maneuver of blocking three attacks (if the hit is unblockable, her passive does not gain a stack) and catching her opponent off guard allows her special attacks to do incredible damage. Even without other boosts, Virtuous Strikes can easily hit over 13,000 per swipe for over 52,000 damage total.
The stacks of her passive are removed upon using a special or tagging out.
Like with almost all versions of Wonder Woman, she is encouraged to use special 1 instead of special 2; Virtuous Strikes has an extraordinarily long starting animation, making it difficult to hit without being blocked. The requirement to block hits before it will do decent damage means you can't stun the opponent first with another character, and it requires some fast reflexes to hit the fourth hit. Meanwhile, her SP1 is fast, easy to use, can be chained with her heavy attack combo to be impossible to block, and benefits from her specific gear, which gives her stun chance on SP1.
The % damage boost is based on special's minimum damage, regardless players' performances on its mini-games. So if players achieve either 100% or 200% on the mini-game, the bonus boosted damage is still the same. It stacks with other sources of special attack damage boost.
Gear[]
Recommended build: LexCorp Gauntlets V2, Tantu Totem, League of Assassins Adept Knives
As she needs to block 3 hits before a special to utilise her passive, Cloak of Destiny, Nekron's Scythe, and The Master's Death Cart are less effective on her. Because of her massive special damage boost, other special damage boosts become less significant - however, League of Assassins Adept Knives is still very good due to its incredible SP1 Damage Boost, Area Effect and power generation increase. LexCorp Gauntlets V2 is an excellent choice to compliment an SP1 playstyle, as crit's damage boost stacks multiplicative with special damage boosts. Topping it off with Tantu Totem, every time she tags in she gets a bar of power so all she needs to do is block 3 hits then use an SP1 to inflict heavy damage on the enemy team.
LexCorp Helmet V2 is also a great gear for her, reducing damage taken when blocking.
Interactions[]
Please note that battles are highly situational: this section only mentions cards that have mechanics that, for any reason, are particularly effective with/against, or particularly ineffective against Wonder Woman. Having a card that "counters" Wonder Woman does not mean it is always a good choice.
Good With[]
- Green Lantern/Regime: His power generation boost can help Wonder Woman use special attacks faster, especially with the damage buffs in place.
- Harley Quinn/Animated: She provide both damage boost and power generation boost, allowing Wonder Woman to unleashed powerful SP1 more frequently.
- Wonder Woman/600: Combining both the passives of the two above, not only can she increase Wonder Woman/Prime's power generation by a large amount, but also boost her damage, enabling her special attacks to do a significant amount of damage.
- Wonder Woman/New 52: New 52 Wonder Woman can give Wonder Woman Prime instant power with her special attacks, allowing her to use strong specials more often.
Good Against[]
- Nightwing/Regime: Her powerful specials can deal tons of damage to Nightwing without being weakened by his passive.
- Characters with multi-hit special attacks, especially SP1 that deal reduced damage due to associated status effects: She can easily gain 3 stacks of SP damage boost by blocking them.
Countered By[]
- Characters that can power drain, such as Lex Luthor, and Nightwing : They can prevent Wonder Woman from performing her boosted special.
- Characters and gears with Unblockable: She will not gain damage boost if she cannot block enemies' attacks.
- General Zod and Green Lantern/Red Son : Both characters can reduce Special damage taken and the latter can share it with other Red Son teammates.
