Passive[]
Solomon Grundy Regime is the toughest Bronze card, with the most base health and a self-resurrecting passive. The one thing that lacks with Grundy is his speed; it's critically slow. The knockdown blow on his faster light basic combo has a very long perform animation; it is possible for the knocked down opponent to react before you are allowed to tag in and attack with a new character, so his slow heavy attacks' knockback is still more reliable especially when you are relying on the next character's special, especially power drain. Due to his passive, he can take "one blow that would've killed you" which can quickly save you the match getting in a game-changing special attack that you normally wouldn't have gotten off, making this card valuable. His second special also poison enemies, which makes it far better than his default first special, which is slow and easily blocked.

Please note that battles are highly situational: this section only mentions cards that have mechanics that, for any reason, are particularly effective with/against, or particularly ineffective against Solomon Grundy. Having a card that "counters" Solomon Grundy does not mean it is always a good choice.
Good With[]
- Fourth World Set: It will give him an extra resurrection.
- The Flash/Regime: Aids with his slow speed.
- Cyborg/Prime: While Cyborg is tagged out, Grundy can help stall and soak up damage while Cyborg heals.
Good Against[]
- Ares/Prime: His infamous one-hit God Smack cannot surge into the new life given by Grundy.
- The Joker/Prime, and The Joker/Insurgency: When Grundy knocks The Joker out, the damage he takes can't affect his second health.
- Catwoman/Arkham Knight: When Grundy is tagged out, Catwoman's bleeding DOT will not transfer to his second health.
Countered By[]
- The Flash: Because Grundy is slow, The Flash can react to Grundy’s slow attacks.
- Characters with multi-hit specials as it can transfer to his second health, making him much easier to KO.
