Riddler's Staff is a piece of Legendary (5-Star) Gear, evolved from the Epic (4-Star) gear, Riddler's Cane. The unevolved version can be obtained by ranking in the top 5% of certain Online Battle seasons, or as a possible reward in the Worst Heroes Ever Bundle, The Dawn of Justice Triple Pack, the Nth Metal Ultimate Pack and the Nth Metal Pro Pack.

Mechanics[]
Blink[]
Blink causes the user to temporarily disappear at the beginning of the enemy special and only return once it is finished. It is comparable to Batman/Dawn of Justice's passive, but unlike the Staff, his passive works on both special 1 and 2.
XP Bonus[]

The growth of the XP bonus increases by 0.5% for each fusing, except for when it is evolved, which causes it to jump from 6% to 10%. Currently in version 3.4, this effect is bugged and doesn't work.
Strategy[]

Helps you level up your characters at a faster rate. However, currently it adds the boost invisibly, so doesn't appear to work without looking at the total XP earned.
As one of its effects is non-combat, and the other two effects are often seen as unimpressively defensive, Riddler's Staff is easily the least effective out of all legendary gear. The SP1 blink is useful sometimes, but usually unreliable. Therefore, it can be equipped on Batman/Dawn of Justice or Wally West/Rebirth to further increase their evasion chances. Mother Box can be combined to protect their user from both specials.

Trivia[]
- Riddler's Cane is the second Online Battle season reward gear to get its unique portrait, after The Batmobile, but was later followed by Soultaker Sword and Mother Box.
- This gear has been adjusted several times, moving between states of slightly working to only working in certain situations to not working at all. Currently (as of update 3.4), this gear does not work. It never provides bonus XP to the character that its equipped with.
