Fourth World Set's resurrect
Resurrect is a rare ability that can be quite valuable, being able to bring back a character that would otherwise be knocked out. This can be useful in countering characters with one-hit specials or supermoves, such as Ares/Prime or Bane/Luchador. However, characters with many hits in their specials can counter resurrections.
Mechanics[]
Resurrect will revive characters when their health reach zero with a fixed amount of health depends on sources of resurrect. Resurrected characters will still suffer from previously applied status effects. Overkill damage from the hit that trigger resurrect will not be transferred to the newly restored health, but its area effect damage is fully applied, unlike Batgirl/Arkham Knight's rescues which negate it.

Hawkgirl/Blackest Night's resurrect
Killer Frost/Regime's passive and Scarecrow's Ventilator Mask don't affect restored health on resurrect. Batman/Flashpoint's specials can disable resurrect after their animations finished. The Flash/Blackest Night will resurrect at full health, but he can't resurrect on his own, he has to rely on gears and teammates instead. Hal Jordan/Red Lantern normally cannot be healed, but he can be resurrected by Fourth World Set and Nekron's Scythe.
Attacks that can't knock out will not trigger resurrection, such as the non-lethal hits from Special Attacks (some specials can only knock out in the last hit, e.g. Deadshot/Suicide Squad's SP1, Lord Joker/Batman Ninja's SP2, etc.) area effect damage, or Batgirl/Cassandra Cain's tag-in damage. They simply take no damage when their health reach 1, but status effects of these attacks can still apply (such as Fourth World Godly Mace's power drain on SP2). Shazam/New 52's passive, Power Shield from Astro-Harness and rescues will take priority over resurrection. Reverse Flash's Cellular Regeneration is triggered after resurrect, however. Resurrection's activation is not depend on armor.
Sources of Resurrection[]
Doomsday/Containment's resurrect
- Solomon Grundy/Prime resurrects once per match with 50% health.
- Solomon Grundy/Regime resurrects once per match with 25% health.
- Hawkgirl/Blackest Night can provide resurrection to each Blackest Night characters on her team once per match, even when she was knocked out.
- Fourth World Set resurrect their user once per match with up to 31% health when 2 or 3 pieces are equipped on the same character.
- Nekron's Scythe provides resurrection with up to 65% health once per match when its user KO an opponent.

Priority[]
If there are multiple sources of resurrect available on the same character, they activate in the order of:
- Nekron's Scythe
- Fourth World Set
- Character passive
The Astro-Harness's Power Shield (which works similarly as Armor) is technically not a resurrection effect. Power Shield is not health - it cannot be regenerated by normal healing effects, and is ignored by tag in stun damage. While resurrect can absorb infinite damage in one hit, then resurrect the character to a set amount of health, the Power Shield only protects health to the extent of its magnitude. Both health and Power Shield can be instantly depleted by a single high hit, making it less useful. This distinction can be seen from The Flash/Blackest Night's passive, which affects resurrections but not the Power Shield.
Batgirl/Arkham Knight and Catwoman/Batman Ninja both have passives that can rescue teammates (Batgirl) or herself (Catwoman) from a KO blow, which is also different but has similar strategic uses.
If all three are available on one character, rescue and Power Shield would both be possible to trigger first, followed by resurrection. As Power Shield does not have a 100% chance to trigger, it is possible for resurrection to occur first. If Power Shield does not trigger the first time around and resurrection triggers, Power Shield will get another chance to trigger when health reaches 1 again.
Trivia[]
- Only Doomsday/Containment can resurrect more than once without gear.
- Only Hawkgirl/Blackest Night can resurrect other characters, albeit only other Blackest Night teammates.
