- For the card tier, see Nth Metal (Tier).
Nth Metal is a currency introduced in the 3.0 update.
They are primarily awarded from the Phantom Zone, with each crystal completed (up to 5) giving them, amount varies depending on difficulty.
It can also be obtained in the wheel before a fight in Survivor Mode (chance of 25 Nth Metal per fight, or average of 2.34375 assuming the wheel is fair), or as an Online Battle season reward (10-250 per week, but realistically 200 maximum). As Survivor resets 24 hours after completion (and you can instantly reset this 4 times daily with Power Credits), it is generally more effective in gaining Nth Metal than Online Battle.
Difficulty | Nth Metal | Valorium Alloy |
---|---|---|
Trainee | 1-5 | 50-100 |
Veteran | 10-25 | 100-250 |
Elite | 25-50 | 250-500 |
They can be used to buy special packs for a chance of obtaining the new Metal tier characters, and the Celebration packs that rotate in store.
Assuming that the only goal is to obtain Metal cards, and estimating that the Nth Metal Ultimate Pack has a 25% chance to yield 2 Metal cards instead of 1:
Name | Nth Metal cost | Card per pack | Cost per card |
---|---|---|---|
Nth Metal Ultimate Pack | 800 | 0.75 | 1067 |
Nth Metal Pro Pack | 400 | 0.42 | 952 |
Nth Metal Pack | 200 | 0.12 | 1667 |
Assuming even distribution, a Phantom Zone event and two resets with all Elite crystals will grant 462.5 Nth Metal on average.
Nth Metal, like Power Credits, can also be bought with real money.
Nth Metal can be used to reroll a Phantom Zone condition while charging up a crystal. The first reroll is free, the second and every after costs 5 Nth Metal (for Elite) or 3 (for Veteran) each (Trainee only costs Power Credits). Spending them here is not recommended, as Nth Metal is very valuable.
50 Nth Metal can be spent to reset the Phantom Zone event after beating it (up to twice). It may be worth it as each Elite crystal grants 25-50 Nth Metal.
Evolving a Metal character, possible once they reach Elite III, costs 250 Nth Metal and 250,000 Power Credits.
It should not be confused with Valorium Alloy, which is used to upgrade Metal characters' Special Attacks.
