Strategy

Basic combo | Damage pattern (% of damage stat) | Total (including Combo Ender) |
---|---|---|

Heavy | 4% - 4% - 4% - 4% | 16% |
Passive
Nightwing Prime is a sturdy bronze card with agile combos, a strong power drain on his SP1 but a very slow SP2. He has a viable passive that allows him to resist Basic attack from other cards; although he suffers the same wrath from Special Attacks, this can be greatly alleviated by his frequent power drains, which is even stronger in Online Battle due to his 6-hit light combo.
He is given to players upon finishing the tutorial in Standard Battle.
Interactions
Please note that battles are highly situational: this section only mentions cards that have mechanics that, for any reason, are particularly effective with/against, or particularly ineffective against Nightwing. Having a card that "counters" Nightwing does not mean it is always a good choice.
Good With
- Lex Luthor/Prime, and Green Arrow/Insurgency: The three could form an annoying power drain team. Plus all three would receive a 20% damage boost courtesy of Lex Luthor's and Green Arrow's combined passives.
- Gears that reduce damage taken from basic attacks, such as Gingold Soda and Killer Croc Companion Card EVOLVED.
Good Against
- The Flash/Prime: Power drain makes it harder for Flash to trigger his passive. Nightwing also receive reduced damage from basic attacks thanks to his passive.
- Deathstroke/Insurgency: Nightwing's SP1 can drain Deathstroke's gained power from defeating enemies.
Countered By
- Lobo/Prime, and Static: These two are immune to Nightwing’s easy-to-use power drain on SP1.
Abilities
Here are Nightwing's abilities.
Ability | Classification | Description | Usage |
---|---|---|---|
Ground Sparks | First Special | Nightwing pummels his target with electrified kali sticks. DRAINS POWER. | Rapid Tap |
Staff Spin | Second Special | Nightwing proves himself a master of the staff with this powerful attack. | Quick Tap |
Dark as Night | Super Move | Motorcycles? Cool. Staves? Cool. Motorcycles and staves? Super cool. Go, Nightwing, go. UNBLOCKABLE. | Tap |
Staff Spin has an unusually slow start-up time. This is possibly due to all versions of Nightwing fighting in Escrima style, while Staff Spin is a Staff-based move. This causes Nightwing to combine his Escrima Sticks before commencing the attack.
