Different users have access to different functions of the site. While anyone can do most things on the site, including reading and editing, bureaucrats can access a few additional functions.
The "founder" of a wiki, the person who first requested it, is given administrator access automatically. Founders are also given bureaucrat access so they can make any other user on their wiki an administrator or bureaucrat. Bureaucrats are one level "up" from administrators.
Bureaucrat Abilities[]
- Bureaucrats only have the ability to manipulate user rights, as well as block and unblock users, so this right is generally used in addition to the administrator group.
- They have the ability to promote and revoke rollback, Content Moderator, and administrator rights as well as appointing new bureaucrats. While they cannot directly remove another user's bureaucrat status, they can remove their own. Bureaucrats also have the ability to remove a user's bot status in case the bot is malfunctioning, but bot flag requests are handled by staff after being approved (by either a bureaucrat or the community).
- Having this status causes the tag "Bureaucrat" to appear next to user's username on their profile.
- The bureaucrat status can only be removed by FANDOM Staff or by the Bureaucrat themselves.
How do I use bureaucrat powers?[]
See Help:Bureaucrats' how-to guide for a guide on using bureaucrat functions.

Legend[]
Status | Description |
---|---|
Fully active | These bureaucrats log on frequently to edit and/or browse the wiki. They are the best users to contact. |
Partially active | These bureaucrats don't log on all the time, though are still relatively frequent. |
Away | These bureaucrats are currently away (such as on vacation, etc.), but will return shortly. It's unlikely they will edit or respond to messages, except for rare occasions. |
Excused | For whatever reason, these bureaucrats aren't able to log on to the wiki for an extended period of time. Their inactivity has been excused due to unfortunate circumstances. |
Retired | Unfortunately, these users have stepped back from their bureaucrats roles on the wiki. They will retain bureaucrat privileges so long as they desire, and are welcome to resume involvement in the future if they so choose. We thank them for their service to our community. |
