Strategy[]
Basic Attacks[]
Basic Combo | Damage Pattern (% of damage stat) | Total (including Combo Ender) |
---|---|---|
Light (Combo Ender) | 2% - 2% - 2% - (3% - 3%) | 12% |
Heavy | 4% - 4% - 4% | 12% |
Like all versions of Deathstroke, when controlled by the AI, his heavy basic combo is vulnerable; you can start a special against him even while being hit by his heavy combo and not blocking.
Passive[]
Deathstroke Prime is an adept and agile character, and like any other Deathstroke card, has long reach with his sword on his heavy basic attacks, making it easier to land. He is also the only silver card (other than Nightwing/Regime) to have a 2-hit combo ender on his light basic combo, increasing synergy with Gauntlets of Azrael and Overpowered 5-U-93-R. Coupled with Promethium Longsword giving him basic damage, basic crit chance, and crit boost, this all makes him a formidable basic attacker.
After every KO blow he deals, he gains a passive stack. When he next uses a special, the special gains +25% damage per stack, and all stacks are then removed. However, as his SP2 is a bleed, it only does about half of its damage upfront and the rest can be avoided if the enemy tags out. Additionally, if the first hit of his SP2 KO'es, the second hit misses. In case of that, or if the second hit KO'es, no bleed will be applied. Therefore, gear should be focused on his basics or SP1. Wonder Woman/Prime has a far more powerful and easy to use special-boosting passive in comparison.
The computer will sometimes use his second special while out of range, allowing a player who holds down block after a knockdown blow to effectively dodge the attack and the bleed.
Gear[]
His Promethium Longsword works wonder on him, boosting basic attacks and crit damage. League of Assassins Adept Knives is a great option for SP1 build, especially to clear the boring and tedious battles in Challenge Mode. Tantu Totem can speed up the grind, and also pairs well with his passive - knocking out the enemy with a special will have his power restored to take advantage of the 25% special damage boost.
Interactions[]
Please note that battles are highly situational: this section only mentions cards that have mechanics that, for any reason, are particularly effective with/against, or particularly ineffective against Deathstroke. Having a card that "counters" Deathstroke does not mean it is always a good choice.
Good With[]
- The Joker/Batman Ninja: With the help of Lord Joker, Deathstroke's Specials deal 20% Area-Effect Damage to the tagged out opponents.
- Green Lantern/Regime: He provides Deathstroke additional 25% Power Generation, allowing him to use Specials more often.
- Harley Quinn/Animated: Her passive boosts Deathstroke damage and power generation by 20%, increasing his damage output and let him get closer to unleash his enhanced Specials.
Good Against[]
- Characters with low health, such as Catwoman/Regime: Deathstroke can KO them easily and activate his passive during the process.
Countered By[]
- Characters who can Power Drain, such as :
- Nightwing: He can constantly power drain Deathstroke with his SP1.
- Black Adam/ Kahndaq: His passive allows him to constantly power drain Deathstroke through Combo Enders and Specials, giving him no chance of using his enhanced Specials.
- Solomon Grundy/Prime: His resurrection make it harder for Deathstroke to deal KO blows.
- Black Adam/Prime: His passive aura can reflect Deathstroke's boosted Specials damage.
Abilities[]
Here are Deathstroke's abilities.
Ability | Classification | Description | Usage |
---|---|---|---|
Point Blank | Second Special | Deathstroke uses his dual pistols to great effect, laying down a hail of bullets. | Target |
Sword Flip | Second Special | Agility and strength merge as Deathstroke attacks. BLEED: Deals DAMAGE-OVER-TIME for 8 seconds. | Rapid Swipe |
Eye for an Eye | Super Move | Deathstroke remains the undisputed virtuoso of death. UNBLOCKABLE. | Tap |
His heavy combo can be chained into his SP1 “Point Blank”, albeit it is very tricky to achieve it - if not timed correctly (used very quickly after his heavy combo, not delaying for a split-second) either the opponent stands up automatically blocking or his SP1 don’t hit the opponent at all.

Trivia[]
- Previously, his passive gives him "charges" and one charge is spent for every special you use.
