Re-Energize: Cyborg regenerates POWER at 150% the normal rate while he is Tagged-Out. |
Strategy[]
Basic Attacks[]
Basic combo | Damage pattern (% of damage stat) | Total (including Combo Ender) |
---|---|---|
Light (Combo Ender) | 2% - 2% - 2% - (3%) | 9% |
Heavy | 4% - 4% - 4% | 12% |
Passive[]
Cyborg Regime is one of the strongest silver cards, as despite the passive description, the power generation boost is active even when he is tagged in, allowing him to gain power much faster.
He pops up from time to time in low-level content, or as one of the silver cards in Nightmare difficulty in the first tier for Challenge Mode. His fast power generation makes it much faster for him to build up to SP2, making him a true threat to weak or limited teams.
Combined with the right gear cards (Heart of Darkness, The Ibistick, LOA Adept Knives), and teamed with Green Lantern/Regime, he can gain power extremely quickly. He also has incredible synergy with The Master's Death Cart, as Death Cart's tag in power gain is affected by any power generation increases.
Gear[]
All gears that help increase power generation such as Heart of Darkness, The Ibistick, League of Assassins Adept Knives are great. Heart of Darkness and The Ibistick also offer very useful damage boosts to his powerful SP2.
In absence of better gear options, Infernal Symbol and Weaponized Kryptonite pair well with him due to their power generation boosts. His signature gear Cybernetic Exoskeleton also has good synergy (its max health increase and heal on SP2 will help him last longer on the battlefield), when combined with The Master's Death Cart, he can drain tons of power on tag-in with SP1. Demonic Cloak is also a good fit, with its power generation increase and Crit chance on SP2.
As for any other special attack specialist, Tantu Totem is an excellent asset to him. With his passive, gaining one more bar of power is an easy task and he can then wreck the enemy team with multiple SP2 thanks to the power restore effect.
Interactions[]
Please note that battles are highly situational: this section only mentions cards that have mechanics that, for any reason, are particularly effective with/against, or particularly ineffective against Cyborg. Having a card that "counters" Cyborg does not mean it is always a good choice.
Good With[]
- Green Lantern/Regime, Harley Quinn/Animated, Wonder Woman/Red Son: All three provide boosts to power generation which, when coupled with Cyborg's passive, allows Cyborg to generate power at alarming rates. Harley Quinn/Animated and Harley Quinn/Insurgency also increase damage (via their passives and their SP2s), in addition to power generation. This helps with Cyborg's low damage stat.
- Solomon Grundy/Prime: While Cyborg is tagged out, Grundy can stall and soak up damage while Cyborg easily builds up his deadly SP2.
Good Against[]
- Characters or gears with health threshold activated passives or abilities.
- Raven/Prime: Cyborg's SP2 is a strong one-shot nuke, perfect for KO'ing Raven without triggering her passive
- Green Lantern/John Stewart: Same as above except it prevents the Emergency Barrier John provides to himself and his teammates.
- Astro-Harness: Same as above except as a single, heavy damage hit can deliver a KO without activating the invulnerabilities or the shield offered by the harness.
Countered By[]
- Killer Frost/Prime and Solomon Grundy/Earth 2: Their power dampening passives can reduce the effectiveness of Cyborg's passive.
- Characters with Power Drain or Disable Special effects: They can prevent him from using his specials.
- Characters that can Resurrect: As both of Cyborg's specials are one-hit specials, he cannot KO opponents with resurrection.
