Blackest Night characters are based off Geoff Johns's 2009–2010 "Blackest Night" comic book series published by DC comics. It may refer to any of the following:

Team Strategy[]

Many new players often make the mistake of forming a Blackest Night team solely based on Base Stats. While all Blackest Night cards have high base stats, it is their passives (and they way in which they all synergize together) that makes a Blackest Night team truly strong.

The Flash/Blackest Night, if available, should always be on your team. His earth-shaking passive, coupled with resurrection gears, allow him to be one of the single best gold cards in the game. Hawkgirl/Blackest Night is one of the best support cards to couple with The Flash; however, if you have multiple resurrection gears on the Flash, you may consider switching her out for another card.

Depending on whether one is going for a Tank or Damage team comp, you can pick either Batman/Blackest Night or Superman/Blackest Night as your third card. While Superman has higher base stats, the first part of his passive (Necrotic Damage) is essentially worthless. Batman's base stats are lower, but note that the first part of his passive greatly increases his damage output. He is also one of the few cards capable of consistently getting block breakers on his basic attacks without gears. That being said, Batman/Blackest Night is still a glass cannon, and can be wiped out easily if you aren't careful.

If unavailable, you can replace any of the above cards with Doomsday/Blackest Night or Martian Manhunter/Blackest Night, however their passives only benefit themselves and not their team, and so should generally be avoided
